RUSSIAN AND UKRAINIAN TOURISTS CAN STILL TRAVEL AND ENJOY IN INDONESIA

THE INDONESIAN government does not close the opportunity for foreign tourists from Russia or Ukraine to travel in Indonesia, especially their favorite destination is Bali.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno in a Weekly Press Briefing that was monitored virtually, Jakarta, Tuesday (3/1) said Russia and Ukraine are very potential markets for the tourism sector in the country.

“The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is working on the markets of the two countries considering that so far the demand for foreign tourists from Russia and Ukraine to vacation in Bali has good prospects, in terms of the category of length of stay and quality of shopping,” he said.

He explained, but of course the conflict between Russia (and) Ukraine will affect the schedule as well as in terms of certainty and security of the tourists. We also informed that our colleagues were planning a direct flight from Moscow Russia to Denpasar Bali.

“We will evaluate all of this day by day. Furthermore, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi is said to have told her that the recovery of Indonesian tourism should not be disturbed by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. So, if there is confirmation from tourists from Ukraine or from Russia to Bali or Indonesia, please be prepared,” Sandiaga Uno explained.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Tourism Products and Activities of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Rizki Handayani, added that his party still prioritizes countries that are not affected by conflict, such as Australia, which is Bali’s main market.

“So, this (Australia) might be a priority for the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy when we talk about foreign tourists to Bali, because we really opened Bali first,” Rizki concluded. [traveltext.id]
