THE GOVERNMENT of Indonesia through the Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate announced Maudy Ayunda as the spokesperson for the Government for the G20 Presidency of Indonesia.
Maudy’s duties as spokesperson include two things, namely conveying information related to the implementation of the G20 Indonesia Summit which will be attended by world leaders and conveying the progress of working group meetings, engagement groups and side events.
“As a millennial public figure, it is hoped that Maudy’s role will reach wider levels of society, especially the millennial generation and generation Z. The momentum of the G20 Indonesia 2022 Presidency is a manifestation of the world’s trust in Indonesia,” said Johnny in his press conference, Thursday (3/31).
Therefore, all levels of society in the country must actively participate in making it a success, considering the impact of this international event has had a major impact on Indonesia’s recovery from the impact of the global COVID-19 outbreak that hit the last two years.
How important this event is, it requires a spokesperson who is able to optimally socialize and promote the G20 Indonesia Presidency. The government’s consideration shows the young actress, also because of her educational background which is considered suitable to be part of the communication team of the Indonesian G20 Presidency.
Apart from being a graduate of a prestigious global university, Maudy is also known to be fluent in communicating using other foreign languages, namely English, Mandarin, and Spanish. This ability is the capital in communicating with audiences from various circles.
“Maudy is a graduate of the undergraduate program in philosophy, politics, and economics, University of Oxford and a Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Education from Stanford University. Maudy also speaks four languages,” said Johnny G. Plate.
His role is also expected to encourage the younger generation, especially those currently entering the productive age, namely the millennial generation and generation Z to actively participate in the success of the G20 Indonesia Presidency.
Through the involvement of the younger generation, of course, the G20 event can be echoed and run according to the plan that has been set by the government. [antaranews]
