HERE THE LIST OF NINE ASEAN COUNTRIES FREE OF VISA ENTRY TO VISIT INDONESIA

THE INDONESIAN government is expanding a new policy regarding the granting of a Visit Visa Free and Visit Visa on Arrival/VoA specifically for BVKKW/VKSKKW tourism.

Through the Directorate General of Immigration, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. The new policy is regulated in the Circular Letter of the Director General of Immigration Number IMI-0549.GR.01.01 dated April 5, 2022 regarding Ease of Immigration in Order to Support Sustainable Tourism During the 2019 Corona Virus Disease Pandemic, which will take effect from April 6, 2022.

With this policy, foreigners from nine ASEAN countries can enter with a visa-free visit, meanwhile VKSKW is granted to foreigners from 43 countries, but they can only enter 19 Immigration Checkpoints (PTI).

“Currently there are seven airports, eight ports and four Cross-Border Posts designated as entry points for BVKKW/VKSKKW subjects. They cannot enter through other TPIs if they want to use these facilities. Unlike the case with exiting Indonesia, they can go through any TPI,” said Immigration Traffic Director Amran Aris quoted from the immigration.go.id page.

He explained that this new policy has come into effect since April 6, 2022 and accordingly, the Director General of Immigration’s Circular Letter on Visit Visas on Special Arrivals for Tourism in the Framework of Supporting Sustainable Tourism in Bali During the Corona Virus Disease 2019 Pandemic and Circular Letters on Ease of Immigration in Order to Support Sustainable tourism in the Batam and Bintan areas during the 2019 Corona Virus Disease Pandemic is revoked and declared invalid.

And also, the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights provides conditions for foreigners who want to get a visa-free visit.

“To obtain BVKKW or VKSKKW, foreigners must show a valid nationality passport and it is still valid for at least six months,” said Director of Immigration Traffic, Amran Aris, in a written statement.

Amran added that residence permits from BVKKW and VKSKKW cannot be transferred. The holder is also not allowed to apply for an extension of the residence permit through the granting of an onshore visa.
