WITH AIRBUS A320, PELITA AIR IS READY TO ENTER REGULAR AVIATION BUSINESS

PT PELITA Air Service (PAS) ensures that it is ready to develop its business and expand its services to the scheduled commercial flight segment (regular flight) with the upcoming two Airbus A320 aircraft. The presence of the two aircraft also introduced a new livery on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten.

The new livery displayed on planes flying from Montpellier Airport, France (MPL) and Sharjah International Airport – United Arab Emirates (SHJ) is named “Ribbon” livery. Named the “Ribbon” livery because the livery resembles a ribbon that covers the tail and part of the fuselage with three colors, namely red, blue and green, which can be interpreted as diversity and freedom of expression. The three colors on the livery are also the colors of Pertamina’s identity as the parent company of Pelita Air.

According to the Acting Daily (PTH) President Director of PT Pelita Air Service, Muhammad S. Fauzani said, the arrival of the Airbus A320 Pelita Air today is a historic moment as well as a new milestone for the company which previously focused on charter flight services. The arrival of these two aircraft also shows the readiness of Pelita Air which is developing its flight services to scheduled commercial flight services.

“Currently Pelita Air is still in the process of certifying the Airbus 320 aircraft, which continues to open in order to open scheduled flights and we hope to be able to operate in the near future,” said Muhammad S. Fauzani in a written statement, Monday (4/11).

Muhammad S. Fauzani also expressed his gratitude for the excellent cooperation and coordination support from regulators, airport managers, air traffic controllers, crew on duty, and various other parties who have helped smooth the plane’s arrival process and according to the specified time.

“Pelita Air also thanks the management of the parent company, namely Pertamina, for supporting Pelita Air’s business expansion efforts into scheduled commercial flight services,” he added.

Meanwhile, PT Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communications, Fajriyah Usman explained, as a shareholder, Pertamina encourages Pelita Air Service to improve its performance through various business steps in order to develop air transportation through regular services that will support connectivity between regions of Indonesia.

“Pertamina supports Pelita Air Service’s corporate action, so that it continues to grow with the best performance. It is hoped that this new chapter of Pelita Air can make a major contribution to the Indonesian aviation industry and give a new color to the Indonesian aviation ecosystem,” concluded Fajriyah Usman.
