PT ANGKASA Pura I noted that at 11 airports it managed, it had received requests for extra flights of 1,001 flights for the Eid 2022 transportation period.
According to the President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I, Faik Fahmi, said there were 4 airports that received the most requests for extra flights. The airport is Juanda Surabaya with 246 flights. Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin with 192 flights, SAMS Sepinggan Airport Balikpapan with 147 flights and YIA Airport with 142 flights.
Faik remarked, with the request for up to 1,001 extra flights, there will be at least an additional 160,000 seats available for airlines to transport passengers during the Lebaran 2022 transportation period. Regarding extra flights, Citilink Indonesia has increased the number of flight operations during the Eid 2022 transportation period.
Meanwhile, Citilink’s VP Corporate Secretary & CSR Diah Suryani said, Citilink had proposed an extra flight of 164 flights. This extra flight is to serve flights to several areas such as Denpasar, Yogyakarta, Solo, Labuan Bajo, Padang and Bengkulu.
Diah also explained that during the Lebaran 2022 transportation period, Citilink operates 33 aircraft fleets to serve the community. Citilink Indonesia also provides 567 thousand flight seats during the 2022 Eid transportation period.
“For the 2022 Eid transportation period, Citilink provides 567 thousand flight seats with a total of 3,214 aircraft flight movements.
