CITILINK Indonesia has added three new routes, namely Medan-Banda Aceh, Medan-Gunungsitoli and Medan-Sibolga.
According to Citilink President Director Dewa Kadek Rai (Sunday 5/22), the Medan-Banda Aceh and Medan-Gunungsitoli routes have been operating from 20 May 2022. Meanwhile, the Medan-Sibolga flight route will start operating from 23 May 2022.
“The presence of these three new routes is of course to strengthen flight connectivity in Western Indonesia. The Medan area has a strategic geographical location close to Asian economic centers such as Kuala Lumpur and Singapore,” he said.
He explained that besides that, the area is also the gateway to the western region of Indonesia, so it is hoped that it will attract more public interest to fly this route.
He also added that the flight route Medan-Banda Aceh (roundtrip) and Medan-Gunungsitoli (roundtrip) will operate every day. Meanwhile, the Medan-Sibolga route (roundtrip) will operate every Monday and Wednesday using ATR 72-600 aircraft,” said Dewa.
The schedule are:
(1). Medan (Kualanamu)-Gunungsitoli QG 1910 departs at 07.00 WIB, (2). Gunungsitoli-Medan (Kualanamu) QG 1911 departs at 08.40 WIB, (3). Medan (Kualanamu)-Sibolga QG 1922 departs at 10.20 WIB, (4). Sibolga-Medan (Kualanamu) QG 1923 departs at 11.50 WIB, (5). Medan (Kualanamu)-Gunungsitoli QG 1912 departs at 10:20 am WIB, (6). Gunungsitoli-Medan (Kualanamu) QG 1913 departs at 12:00, (7). Medan (Kualanamu)-Banda Aceh QG 1946 departs at 13:40, (8). Banda Aceh-Medan (Kualanamu) QG 1947 departs at 15:40. [sources/photo special]
