COMPLETED IN 2023, THE LUXURY COLLECTION IS READY TO BECOME A TOURISM ICON

LATE last year, Marriot International together with PT Fortuna Paradiso Optima laid the groundwork for a premium resort project in Labuan Bajo, namely The Luxury Collection. Currently, the project is in the construction stage.

“This resort is built in a very special location. Later, you will have a very beautiful view of the sea and the volcanic islands of Labuan Bajo that you can’t find anywhere else in the world,” said Ramesh Jackson, Area Vice President of Indonesia at Marriott International.

The Luxury Collection is located on a strategic land area of 34,000m2 which is 10 minutes from Komodo International Airport. Later, it will have 70 rooms with the first Sea Villas in Labuan Bajo as an icon.

This premium resort will also be equipped with a pool beach bar and specialty restaurant serving a variety of Indonesian specialties. Then, there will also be facilities with a wedding chapel, meeting room, fitness center, spa, beach pool, and Olympic size swimming pool.

“We will operate this resort in accordance with the standards of the Luxury Collection brand. So that it can accommodate national and international level events,” continued Ramesh.

The concept design and design of the property took two years and involved multidisciplinary consultants. Among them, Alexis Dornier for architecture, Wiratman for structures, Meinhardt for MEP, ANP Interior Architecture for interior design, and others.

Meanwhile, Ivan Widarmana, Vice President of Hotel Development Asia Pacific Marriott International, said that the development of this resort is in line with various government efforts to accelerate Labuan Bajo tourism as a super-priority tourist destination.
