EFFORTS to promote domestic tourism require cooperation from all parties involved, not only the government, but also private parties such as online travel agencies.
According to the Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer of tiket.com, Gaery Undarsa at an online press conference, Thursday (8/11) said we must collaborate with the government to develop domestic tourism. One of the things that has been done is to develop domestic tourism in which the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy focuses on Lake Toba, Likupang, Borobudur, Mandalika, and Labuan Bajo.
Likewise, the Chief People Officer of tiket.com, Dudi Arisandi, added that the online travel agency also helped develop tourist villages through the “Jagoan Wisata” program which aims to raise the class of tourist villages in Indonesia.
“This program is our effort to ensure that tourism business actors such as MSMEs can develop a sustainable business, not just stop at one point,” said Dudi.
At the inaugural Jagoan Wisata 2022, there were four selected tourist villages, namely Mulyaharja Tourism Village in Bogor, Condet Village in East Jakarta, Kaki Langit Mangunan Village, and Dewi Sambi Village in Yogyakarta.
From the four Tourism Villages, tourism business players will be gathered to receive hybrid training from the teachers. During the training process, tiket.com cooperates with the startup company Inspigo to provide teaching staff and mentors as well as materials for the tourism business players. The training period will last for one month from August 25 to September 29, 2022.
Meanwhile, Inspigo Co-Founder Yoris Sebastian revealed that his party will prepare a module for mixed learning not only based on theory but also on practice in the field in this case adapted to the conditions of tourist villages so that the “Jagoan Wisata 2022” program benefits can be felt sustainable even when the program is over.
