EXPANSION, BATIK AIR OPENS FLIGHT TO DA NANG, VIETNAM FROM JAKARTA TO BALI

BATIK AIR has again expanded its international flight connectivity from Indonesia. After opening a route to Penang, Malaysia, this time the airline with the ID code also opened a flight route to Da Nang, Vietnam.

According to the Corporate Communications Strategic of Batik Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, said that the opening of the flight route was expected to facilitate connectivity between the two countries.

“Creating wider connectivity to facilitate the mobility of tourists and business people, as well as supporting logistics traffic (movement) between regions and between countries,” said Danang, as quoted from his official statement, Wednesday (11/30).

Danang added that the opening of the new Indonesia-Vietnam route is also expected to strengthen bilateral relations between each country and so on.

“Supporting the government in bringing foreign tourists to Indonesia. As well as strengthening bilateral relations between each country in all fields, such as diplomatic relations, trade, education, culture and others,” he said.

Indonesia-Vietnam Flight Route
Later, flight routes to Da Nang, Vietnam, will be served from five Indonesian airports. This scheduled international flight offers air travel that makes it easier to fly from Indonesia through cities of origin and main connecting airports (mainhub).

The five airports are as follows: (1). Medan Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra (KNO), (2). Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten (CGK), (3). Surabaya Juanda International Airport in Sidoarjo, East Java (SUB), (4). I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, Bali (DPS), (5). Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Maros, South Sulawesi (UPG), especially from Makassar, effective from 15 December 2022.

Batik Air also offers connecting flights from various cities in Indonesia. One of them is the option to continue a direct flight to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia (KUL).

Meanwhile, flights from Kuala Lumpur to Da Nang are serviced and operated by Batik Air based in Malaysia (flight code OD). For tourists and business people originating from Vietnam and other countries, they have new options for visiting Indonesia, destinations such as Medan Kualanamu, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali and Makassar, as well as connecting to other cities or destinations such as: (1). Lake Toba (Tapanuli, North Sumatra), (2). Mandalika (Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara), (3). Morotai Island (North Maluku), (4). Tanjung Kelayang (Bangka Belitung Islands), (5). Wakatobi (Southeast Sulawesi), (6). Borobudur (Central Java), (7). Thousand Islands (DKI Jakarta), (8). Tanjung Lesung (Banten), (9). Bromo-Tengger-Semeru (East Java), (10). Labuan Bajo (East Nusa Tenggara), (11). Likupang Manado (North Sulawesi), (12). Raja Ampat Sorong (West Papua), (13). Bali and other destinations

For the Indonesia-Vietnam route, Batik Air will operate a Boeing 737 type aircraft with a configuration of 12 business class seats and 150 economy class seats. This fleet is a modern and new generation delivered from the aircraft manufacturer.

Each passenger gets food and drinks (inflight meals), free 20kg baggage for economy class and 30kg for business class. Passengers can also enjoy free inflight entertainment on demand, as well as entertainment that can be accessed from mobile and tablet devices. [sources/photo special]
