BALI ISLAND is the most favorite domestic tourist destination chosen by Indonesians for a family vacation, according to search data on the Agoda platform earlier this year. Other favorite domestic destinations for Indonesian families are Bandung and Yogyakarta, which rank second and third respectively. Meanwhile, the capital city of Jakarta came in fourth place.
Agoda’s Family Travel Trend Survey, which polled more than 14,000 family travelers from 12 countries, said there were three mainstay family activities: visiting landmarks, spending time at the beach, and enjoying a day at an amusement park.
Agoda considers that Bali was chosen as a favorite family destination considering that the island is synonymous with various landmarks to its tropical and exotic beach atmosphere. Bali also offers unique and lively experiences.
“Families take advantage of school holidays to spend quality time together while traveling. In Indonesia, we see great interest in beach destinations,” Agoda Indonesia Country Director Gede Gunawan said through an official statement received by Indonesia Window here on Saturday (02/25).
