PRESIDENT Joko Widodo said that the implementation of the 42nd ASEAN Summit is a momentum to promote Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) so that it is increasingly recognized by the world.
“This is a very good momentum for us to hold the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo to market Labuan Bajo, so that the whole world knows that in Indonesia there is such a thing as Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara,” Jokowi said at Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, NTT, Sunday afternoon.
He also welcomed the involvement of all parties to make the international event a success.
Jokowi said there was a welcome, culinary preparation, homestay preparation, and hotels that showed support for the activity.
He admitted that not many rooms were available, even though the local government had prepared a ship as a place to stay.
Nevertheless, he continued, the 42nd ASEAN Summit remains a good moment for Labuan Bajo to be increasingly recognized both nationally and internationally.
