THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy in collaboration with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) held a KreatIPO Coaching Clinic activity to identify the initial readiness of business actors in the tourism and creative economy (Parekraf) sectors in carrying out Initial Public Offering (IPO).
According to the Director of Access to Financing of the Tourism Ministry, Anggara Hayun Anujuprana, in a statement received by Indonesia Window here on Wednesday (6/7), said that capital is still one of the big challenges for Parekraf business actors in Indonesia, especially since most of them have intangible assets.
“Hopefully, by bringing together Parekraf business actors with alternative non-banking financing sources, the government’s main goal of advancing and developing the Tourism and Creative Economy industry can be achieved and contribute to increasing employment,” he said.
This activity is a continuation of the series of Tourism and Creative Economy Business Roadshow Programs towards IPO and provides an initial overview of the capital market, especially the initial public offering scheme or better known as the Initial Public Offering (IPO).
Meanwhile, Head of the Bekasi City Tourism and Culture Office Abi Hurairah hopes that many of the business actors who take part in this Coaching Clinic can go to IPO so that the economy in Bekasi city can increase and become a motivation for other tourism and creative economy business actors.
Bekasi City is the first city where KretIPO Coaching Clinic activities are held in 2023. The Head of the Public Fund Working Group of Tourism & Creative Economy Ministry, Sabar Norma Megawati hopes that the activity, which was attended by 56 Bekasi Parekraf business actors, can identify and measure the readiness of business actors to conduct an Initial Public Offering of shares with a two-way method.
The participants and presenters consisted of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Mirae Asset Sekuritas, KGI Sekuritas and Surya Fajar Sekuritas.
The Roadshow Program for Tourism and Creative Economy Businesses towards IPO includes several activities such as literacy related to the capital market, KreatIPO Coaching Clinic with one on one activities by initiating meetings with supporting professions in order to identify IPO readiness in aspects of regulation, finance, legality and underwriter readiness.
Furthermore, participants will be included in the IDX Incubator selection, coaching by IDX Incubator and monitoring by the Tourism Ministry. Finally, there will be the implementation of Demoday to bring together companies with supporting professionals who will help prepare for the IPO. [sources/photo special]
