ARTOTEL GROUP AND HATTEN WINES BREAK MURI RECORD FOR WINE TASTING

IN ORDER to introduce the ARTOTEL Wanderlust loyalty program, ARTOTELGroup in collaboration with Indonesian wine producer, Hatten Wines, held a Wine Tasting event which was mixed and matched with a variety of local Indonesian dishes on Tuesday, June 20 2023 at the Tiara Ballroom, ARTOTEL Suites Mangkuluhur Jakarta .

This event became a historic moment for ARTOTEL Group because it succeeded in setting a MURI (Indonesian Museum of Records) record as a wine tasting event with the most participants in Indonesia.

This exciting activity was attended by 205 participants who were guided by Ni Nyoman Kertawidyawati (Widya) as a Wine Educator and Wine Expert from Hatten Wines, as well as a presentation of various local Indonesian dishes created by Chef Rendiputra P. Saroengallo as Corporate Executive Chef from ARTOTEL Group.

There are five types of wine served, including Hatten Wines AGA White, Hatten Wines AGA Red, Hatten Wines Sweet Alexandria, Two Islands Chardonnay and Two Islands Cabernet Merlot.

To train the participants’ sense of taste, Widya asked the participants to mix and match the various wines with several cooking spices and sauces such as salt, sugar, lime, rendang seasoning, curry seasoning, peanut sauce, and Balinese seasoning (Base Gede).

In addition, the participants were also invited to taste a combination of wine with various local Indonesian dishes, such as Ketan Serundeng, Sate Maranggi, Lumpia, Selat Solo, and various other local Indonesian dishes.

According to Eduard Rudolf Pangkerego, the Chief Operating Officer of the ARTOTEL Group regarding the largest wine tasting event in Indonesia, said that along with the growing need for wine as a new lifestyle for the Indonesian people. We are very proud to be collaborating with Hatten Wines who share the same vision, which is to promote local Indonesian products and brands so that they can compete with international brands.

“Through this event, we want to provide education about the various flavors of wine produced domestically in Indonesia and create an experience of combining wine with a variety of local Indonesian dishes. We also present this event as an activation activity for the Wonderful Indonesia program launched by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to promote Indonesian Tourism because ARTOTEL Group and Hatten Wines are Wonderful Indonesia’s Co-Branding partners,” said Eduard.

Meanwhile Ida Bagus Rai Budarsa, Owner & President Director of Hatten Wines stated that after our achievement as the first wine producer and distributor company in Indonesia to have an IPO, we are also very proud to be the chosen co-branding partner to participate in the success of the Wonderful Indonesia program by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

“As a co-Branding partner of Wonderful Indonesia, our first step is to collaborate with ARTOTEL Group to organize the most wine tasting events in Indonesia which will break the MURI Record. This event was held to align Hatten Wines’ vision of becoming a pioneer and leader as a local wine producer in Indonesia,” Rai Budarsa remarked.

He added, we are grateful for the opportunity to introduce and educate the taste of domestically produced wine and present the concept of experience in combining wine (wine pairing) with a variety of local Indonesian dishes. But our hope is by recording the MURI record for the Wine Tasting event with the Most Participants in Indonesia.

“This can strengthen the name of Hatten Wines in their own country so as to support the opening of new opportunities for the development of the wine industry business in Indonesia. And Hatten Wines can realize its mission to become a state asset that contributes to prosperity by opening up job opportunities in Indonesia,” he concluded.

The event ended with the validation process of participant calculations carried out by the MURI team and continued with the awarding of the MURI record certificate consisting of: (1). Titled “Most Wine Tastings” record for the Industrial economy category to ARTOTELGroup and Hatten Wines, (2).
