MINISTRY SUPPORTS ‘WE THE FEST 2023’ TO REACH FOREIGN & DOMESTIC TOURIST VISITS

THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy fully supports the holding of “We the Fest 2023” as an international scale music event which is expected to contribute to increasing foreign tourist visits and the movement of foreign tourists in Indonesia

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, Tuesday (7/11), 2023, said that We the Fest is a very unique annual festival because apart from presenting music concerts, it is also a combination of events featuring arts, fashion and food festivals. .

“I first appreciate David and the Ismaya Live team who are back at We The Fest. This year’s festival will be held on 21-23 July 2023 at the GBK Sports Complex, Senayan, Jakarta with activation programs such as Art Village, which is an art installation by local artists; Carnifun which are fun games and activities; WTF Con, which is a curation of fashion products that visitors can buy and sell; Eats and beats, which is an eating and drinking area of Ismaya Group restaurant products; Cinema Club; Ladies Vanity Area; and merchandise booths,” he said.

We The Fest 2023 will present a number of international musicians including The Strokes, Daniel Cesar, The Kid Laroi, and the best national musicians such as Kahitna, Yura Yunita, Project Pop, Maliq & D’essentials, Gigi, and many more.

Furthermore, Sandiaga also appreciates the existence of the music festival sustainability concept that is being promoted in organizing We The Fest 2023. So the zero waste concept is part of a green economy which will also open up business opportunities and jobs.

Meanwhile, the Director of Ismaya Live, David Ferdian, said that We The Fest 2023 also brought in foreign tourists, namely 12% of the visitors who came. One more thing that we underline, we also bring in foreign tourists. We now sells 22 thousand tickets per day, and that 12% per day is foreign tourists. The total is almost 8000 foreign tourists.

Likewise, the Deputy for Tourism Products and Event Organizers, Ministry of Tourism, Vinsensius Jemadu, said that We The Fest is one of the 3,000 mega events this year which will certainly have a positive impact on tourism and the creative economy.
