THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy encourages strengthening environmental sustainability in developing the tourism sector in the Kintamani area, Bangli Regency, Bali.
According to the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Angela Tanoesoedibjo in a discussion on tourism development in Kintamani at Toya Devasya Resort, Tuesday (7/25), 2023 said the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is committed to developing sustainable tourism in Indonesia. So, Angela also encouraged relevant stakeholders to collaborate with the Tourism Ministry to improve environmental sustainability in Kintamani.
“We see that there is potential for the development of Bali tourism and this is the right momentum, tourists have started to recover. So we want to show that tourism in Indonesia, especially in Bali, is increasingly able to provide comfort, especially from the CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability) side,” said Angela.
One of the efforts taken by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to improve and create sustainable tourism is to collaborate with corporate social responsibility (CSR) actions carried out by various companies in Indonesia.
“We also cooperate a lot with the private sector, including in waste management. Of course, we can encourage this to play a greater role in Kintamani,” she noted.
On the same occasion, Expert Staff for the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy for Crisis Management ,Fadjar Hutomo added that the Tourism Ministry upholds the spirit of innovation, adaptation and collaboration. Thus, the use of CSR is considered appropriate for developing sustainable tourism in Kintamani.
“So we encourage the use of CSR as a form of collaboration. In us there is a spirit of collaboration, innovation and adaptation, indeed we have to do these three things,” Fadjar concluded. [traveltext.id]
