VALID IN 2024, A FEE OF IDR150,000 FOR FOREIGN TOURISTS ENTERING BALI

GOVERNOR of Bali I Wayan Koster explained how to pay fees for foreign tourists entering Bali. He said, based on Bali Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 36 of 2023, the total levy is IDR150,000 for one foreign tourist.

Then, the levy is paid only once during a tour in Bali, before the person concerned leaves the territory of the State of Indonesia.

“Payments must be made cashless through electronic payment facilities,” said Koster in his official statement, Tuesday (9/05), 2023.

He explained, the payment process was carried out through a Perception Bank appointed by the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Bali, namely Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI). Furthermore, foreign tourists must access the Love Bali page or application before entering the arrival gate to Bali. They will be asked to fill in data and choose the payment method to be used. Such as bank transfers, virtual accounts and QRIS.

After successful payment, foreign tourists will receive a notification from the Love Bali application and also receive proof of digital payment. If you do not make payments through the Bali Love System, foreign tourists are required to make non-cash payments at BRI bank payment counters, which are available at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport and Benoa Harbor.

“This transaction can be made through a payment machine using a debit/credit card or Electronic Data Capture (EDC). If the transaction is successful, the printout of the payment will be received,” he said.

He suggested that payment be made before departure to Bali to expedite services upon arrival at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport and Benoa Harbor, Bali. Proof of payment obtained will be scanned through a scanner after checking travel documents when entering the arrival gate.

“If there is a disruption to the payment system, foreign tourists can still continue their tourist trips in Bali by making payments at tourism accommodation places,” he said.

Previously, Koster explained, the levy plan would begin to be socialized in September 2023. The policy is targeted to be carried out in February 2024.

“Not yet, we are waiting for the promulgation of the Ministry of Home Affairs first and then we will socialize it, approximately the socialization will be in September. The levy will be used to protect Bali’s culture and natural environment,” Wayan Koster concluded. [kompas.com/photo special]
