PRESIDENT JOKOWI: INDONESIA DEFINITELY IS NOT A “TIN-CAN” COUNTRY

PRESIDENT Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said Indonesia is not a “tin-can” country because it has a strong bargaining position at the global level. Indonesia is a big country, not a tin-pot country.

According to President Jokowi, when giving directions at the National Working Meeting of the Jokowi National Secretariat volunteer organization in Bogor, West Java, Saturday (9/16), 2023, said that when I became president, I came to the ASEAN Summit and the G20 Summit to socialize with leaders in these forums.

“Now, I dare to ask for a seat or a photo position with leaders of other countries when attending international forums, because Indonesia’s bargaining position is strong. I would like to have a sitting position near the host. “If it’s not fulfilled, he won’t come,” he said.

According to him, this shows that Indonesia is a large country with a strong bargaining position. He emphasized that all countries are currently fighting for investment, because incoming capital is the key for a country to grow its economy.

“Without trust and a strong bargaining position, it will be difficult for investment to come in. People want to invest, that is also because of trust and bringing capital into our country. That’s what is difficult, what is very difficult, and now we have got it,” concluded President Jokowi. [antaranews/photo special]
