PT Indobuildco’s feud with the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Center (PPKGBK) has entered a new phase. Both of them reported to Polda Metro Jaya and Bareskrim Polri regarding the Sultan Hotel, where PPKGBK assessed that the hotel land rental permit had expired.
The problem started with PPKGBK which wanted to take over the Sultan Hotel. They assess that the land rental permit period of PT Indobuildco as the hotel manager has expired. PPKGBK then installed a portal at the entrance to the Sultan Hotel. However, PT Indobuildco did not accept this and dismantled the portal. Now both parties report to each other.
PPKGBK reported PT Indobuildco Director Pontjo Sutowo to Polda Metro Jaya because Pontjo ordered the demolition of the portal at the hotel entrance.
Meanwhile, Pontjo Sutowo reported PPKGBK to Bareskrim Polri on suspicion of carrying out unilateral actions and taking the law into his own hands by entering the grounds, closing the entrance and installing a portal at the entrance to the Sultan Hotel.
The feud between the two parties entered a new phase, with the Sultan Hotel continuing to operate amidst the ongoing conflict.
Keep operating
Hotel Sultan continues to operate as usual. Directions have been conveyed by I Nyoman Sarya as Vice President Operations of Hotel Sultan. He advised the 800 employees to continue providing the best service to guests.
“We have a labor union. We have communication and in essence we convey operational matters that we will continue to operate and provide the best service to guests who stay and organize events,” said Nyoman at the Sultan Hotel, Thursday (10/26). 2023.

Difficult entry
The Sultan Hotel is still operating. However, guests complained that entry was difficult. Because, a few days ago, a portal was installed for a number of access points to the Sultan Hotel by PPKGBK.
“Imagine coming from the airport, it’s difficult, you have to go around. Our employees also experience (difficulty logging in). “If you use Jalan Gatot Subroto you have to turn around too, right,” said Nyoman.
In fact, they often called the Sultan Hotel management to ask whether the hotel was still open.
A number of events and wedding parties were also canceled due to this conflict. Nyoman explained that this condition caused hotel occupancy to decrease. The Sultan Hotel’s occupancy rate is just under 10% of the total 705 rooms.
