JAKARTA WILL FLY 500 DRONES AT THE HI ROUNDABOUT ON NEW YEAR’S EVE

THE DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in collaboration with City Vision will hold a spectacular world-class New Year’s Eve 2024 celebration in the heart of Jakarta, namely the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout, Central Jakarta, with the title “Kirana Jakarta”, one of the highlight of the event being a show of 500 drones.

“We are confident that Kirana Jakarta will enrich the New Year’s Eve celebration experience for Jakarta residents and become a beautiful trail in building a dynamic and creative image of the city,” Head of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Service (Disparekraf) Andhika Permata said in a press release, Thursday (12/28), 2023.

“Kirana Jakarta” presents a celebration of New Year’s Eve 2024 with a combination of Jakarta’s dynamic cityscape, technology and art, creating an unforgettable start to the year.

Held on New Year’s Eve 31 December 2023, the event will feature a drone light show with a world-class touch featuring as many as 500 drones, a water mist effect with four screens made of water, and three-dimensional video mapping which will be shown on The Plaza building.

Not only that, the live online broadcast will be accompanied by various icons and patterns typical of Indonesia and Jakarta which will be broadcast via the OOH (Out of Home Advertising) media screen located at the HI Digital Network LED Roundabout.

This concept is intended to elevate Jakarta as a global city through magnificent visual art that is no less than big world cities such as Singapore and New York.

“Welcoming the new year 2024, Jakarta for the first time will host a spectacular New Year celebration with various forms of world-class entertainment, we want to present this extraordinary moment as an offering to the entire community for free,” said the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of City Vision Juliana Kumala.

Not only that, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will also launch its newest icons, namely Je (Ondel-Ondel), Ka (Kemayoran Tiger), and Te (Monas Monument Fire). This Jakarta icon is the result of a competition for young people throughout Indonesia, which is expected to add to the spectacular New Year’s Eve experience that competes with global scale celebrations.
