GARUDA Indonesia succeeded in recording positive business growth in 2023, both in terms of revenue and profitability.
This was conveyed by the General Manager of PT. Garuda Indonesia Tbk. Batam Branch Office, Makiya Rachmawati, on Monday (01/15), 2024 said the visit was carried out in the context of friendship, as well as strengthening Garuda Indonesia’s cooperation with the media to further develop air transportation services which continue to grow.
On that occasion, Makiya revealed that in terms of production equipment, the growth experienced by Garuda Indonesia can be seen from the increase in flights on the Jakarta-Batam-Jakarta route, from once a day to twice a day.
“Now, Garuda Indonesia flights on the Batam-Jakarta route can be accessed in two schedules, namely 12:10 WIB and 17:30 WIB. Not only that, at peak season moments such as Christmas and New Year (Nataru) last December 2023, Garuda Indonesia also increased its flights to three to meet needs,” she said.
The aircraft used are not limited to narrow body aircraft, but also Airbus aircraft with a capacity of 277 economy class and 36 business class. By default, Garuda Indonesia aircraft can serve flights for 162 pax and cargo loads of up to 5-6 tons.
“We of course adjust this supply to demand which continues to grow. Moreover, Batam is currently a preferred MICE destination,” Makiya remarked.
