There are many activities or collaborations that have been built by the Tourism Ministry for a long time in developing tourism and the creative economy in the international world.
“Actually, Indonesia has made a lot of progress in international organizations. However, this was not recorded neatly,” said Giri in his online speech at the hybrid activity at the NHI Bandung Tourism Polytechnic, Wednesday (03/13), 2024.
She gave an example when Indonesia was trusted to represent the East Asia and Pacific region as a member of the Executive Council at UN Tourism (UNWTO).
“Through this position, we can open up opportunities for cooperation between the state and tourism organizations to create quality and sustainable tourism development programs in the country,” Ni Wayan Giri stated.
It is hoped that various tourism and creative economy collaborations abroad can become notes and references for practitioners and academics to understand the foreign cooperation established and maintained by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
