Then in the center of the dashboard is a 14.9-inch BMW Curved Display with the latest OS 8.5. The quality audio system is contributed by 12 speakers from Harman Kardon.
The electric 5 series also work with the Airconsole gaming platform so that passengers can play various games in the cabin when the car is stopped. In this model, BMW also uses Veganza leather for the first time in the cabin.
The space-saving high-voltage battery is located in the underbody and provides 81.2 kWh of usable energy. The BMW i5 eDrive40 electric motor drives the rear wheels and produces a maximum output of 340 hp and maximum torque of up to 430 Nm with the Sport Boost or Launch Control function.
The BMW i5 eDrive40 is claimed to be able to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds. Regarding mileage, BMW claims the range can be up to 582 km (WLTP), and can even be increased by up to 25% with the MAX RANGE function.
The BMW i5 battery can be recharged via AC charging with an output of 22 kW as standard, and also with direct current (DC) with a power of up to 205 kW. The claim is that charging the battery from 10% to 80 percent only takes around 30 minutes.
