PELITA AIR HAS OPENED 13 FLIGHT ROUTES FROM WEST TO EAST INDONESIA

PELITA AIR has opened a new flight route Jakarta-Kendari-Jakarta (direct) by operating the first flight from Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Jakarta (CGK) to Halu Oleo Kendari Airport (KDI).

According to the Commercial Director of PT Pelita Air Service, Asa Perkasa, the opening of this new flight route is the opening of the second new route this April after Pelita Air previously opened a non-stop flight route Jakarta-Aceh-Jakarta on April 3, 2024. So, in total, Pelita Air has increased its total flight routes. into 13 routes from the western tip to the eastern tip of Indonesia.

“Pelita Air continues to open new routes as a form of Pelita Air’s commitment to realize air connectivity throughout Indonesia. This time, Pelita Air has opened a new direct flight route, namely the Jakarta-Kendari-Jakarta route,” he said in an official statement recently.

Kendari and Southeast Sulawesi, he continued, are cities and provinces in Indonesia with quite large economic potential, starting from the mining sector, the agricultural sector, the fishing sector and the tourism sector. He hopes that with the opening of the Jakarta-Kendari route, Pelita Air can further improve accessibility by providing additional flight options from Jakarta to Kendari.

The plan is for Pelita Air to operate daily scheduled flights on the Jakarta-Kendari-Jakarta route, with a frequency of 7 times per week, using an Airbus A320-200 aircraft with a capacity of 180 Economy Class or Silver Class seats. The flight schedule is as follows: Jakarta-Kendari Pk. 06.15 WITA-10.10 WITA daily and Kendari-Jakarta 11.15 WITA-13.10 WITA daily.

With the opening of this new route, Pelita Air now serves a total of 13 destinations, namely Jakarta, Bali, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Padang, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Balikpapan, Pontianak, Banjarmasin, Sorong, Aceh and Kendari.
