PENGAMBENGAN Nusantara Fisheries Port (PPN) in Jembrana, Bali, which is planned to be transformed into a marine tourism destination. The Pengambengan PPN plan is expected to become a new tourist destination in Jembrana Regency and is expected to spread tourists to the West Bali area, considering that until now tourists have been concentrated in South Bali.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga S. Uno, recently said that the ministry has coordinated with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries to review the Nusantara Fisheries Harbor, looking at the potential for the development of marine tourism, which would later be linked to the Nusantara Fisheries Harbor, which would be revitalized.
“The vision for this development is expected to become a tourist attraction like neighboring countries that have successfully introduced marine tourism. “The tourism concept and packages will be integrated with Banyuwangi, East Java, supported by the completion of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi toll road in 2025 and the Gilimanuk-Mengwi toll road in 2027,” Sandiaga said.
He explained that the hope is that in the future, tourists will not only visit South Bali, but also West Bali. We are really hoping for an equal distribution of tourism in Bali, which is currently only concentrated in South Bali.
Other marine tourism plans to be developed at PPN Pengambengan include sunset views and strategic culinary tourism, as the toll road will pass close to Pengambengan.
“In addition, various natural and cultural destinations, including water parks, will also be developed to attract more tourists to Jembrana. With these various development plans, it is hoped that Pengambengan will become one of the leading marine tourism destinations in West Bali,” Sandiaga concluded. [traveltext.id]
