“IHG Hotels & Resorts launched a new brand in 2021, adding “Hotels & Resorts” to reflect the evolving brand story, portfolio and needs of hotel owners, consumers and communities around the world. 19 hotel brands, more than 6,000 destinations and four core property pillars – Luxury & Lifestyle Collection, Premium Collection and Suite Collection,” he pointed out.
Andreas Bergel also explained that from December 2023 to the end of 2024, 9 IHG hotels have opened and are scheduled to open later this year. We are very excited to introduce new hotels and brands coming to Indonesia, Holiday Inn Resort Bali Canggu, which will welcome its first guests in December 2023, and is a great addition to the Holiday Inn portfolio in Indonesia.
“Including Holiday Inn Lampung Bukit Randu, which will open in early 2024, continuing Holiday Inn’s growth momentum. We are also proud to announce our second Hotel Indigo in Indonesia, which opened in Bandung in early July this year. The design of this hotel really reflects the charming surroundings of Dago,” he affirmed.
Andreas mentioned that, even in the Riau Islands, Bintan is a paradise for various activities: water sports, playing golf on the seaside course, swimming in the lagoon, we will also open the Holiday Inn Resort Bintan Lagoi Beach in late 2024 with 258 rooms and suites.
Right next door, he continued, will be Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach, a lifestyle boutique hotel designed to highlight the rich heritage of the Riau Islands.
“Not to mention, Holiday Inn Express Bali Sunset Road will be the second property under the Holiday Inn Express brand in Bali after Holiday Inn Express Baruna Bali. This 72-room hotel will offer all the essentials for guest comfort and convenience. This will be followed by the opening of Regent Bali Canggu towards the end of 2024,” Andreas remarked.
He added that this will be the first Regent Hotels & Resorts resort to open in Indonesia following IHG’s acquisition of the brand in 2018. Some of you may already be familiar with the Regent brand. And the latest to join the Vignette Collection brand in late 2024 will be the Rumah Luwih Bali resort in Gianyar, following a major renovation. Launched in 2021, the Vignette Collection is the first brand collection from IHG Hotels & Resorts, representing a portfolio of independent hotels that offer unique stay experiences.
“We currently have two properties in the collection in Southeast Asia – specifically in Bangkok and Phuket, and we will welcome a third in Hoi An, Vietnam, before Rumah Luwih Bali joins.
