STATE-Owned airline PT Pelita Air Service plans to add more aircraft by 2025. According to Pelita Air Service Commercial Director, Asa Perkasa said, Pelita Air will add 3 aircraft this year and several units next year.
“There will be 3 more aircraft this year and we will also add aircraft next year,” Asa told reporters, quoted on Tuesday (08/19), 2024.
However, Asa did not specify how many aircraft Pelita Air would order next year. As of now, Pelita Air itself has 11 aircraft operating on domestic routes.
“The addition of aircraft by Pelita Air comes amidst the shortage of aircraft in Indonesia,” he concluded.
Earlier, Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said that Indonesia still lacks hundreds of aircraft fleets due to increasing demand. [sources/photo special]
