BEATING a number of other airlines from Lion Air to Garuda Indonesia, Pelita Air achieved the highest On-Time Performance (OTP) rating in July 2024.
In the “Aviation Safety Briefing” zoom meeting recently held by the Ministry of Transportation, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, aviation observers and others stated that Pelita Air’s OTP percentage reached 95.17% in July 2024.
Aviation observer Alvin Lie said that Pelita Air deserved the award. “Pelita Air’s on-time departure performance really impressed me. Pelita (Air) deserves the highest performance rating because so far I have seen that their time discipline is very strict,” Alvin Lie said in his statement recently.
“Even if Pelita Air experiences a delay, from what I see, it is not due to Pelita Air’s internal error, but rather due to traffic congestion at the airport. Either at the airport from which we are departing or traffic congestion at the previous airport,” he said.
Pertamina’s subsidiary, Pelita Air, also provides services that prioritize passenger comfort. “When I used Pelita Air, I was very surprised because all the time I thought that Pelita Air was included in the LCC (Low-Cost Carrier) because the tickets were very affordable. It turns out that Pelita Air is included in the medium service”, he concluded. [sources/photo special]
