IKN NUSANTARA OPENED FOR PUBLIC, ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED

IKN Nusantara at East Kalimantan has opened visits to the general public with guidelines and requirements, including advance registration for visitors through the IKNOW application.

“The public can visit the Ceremonial Plaza and Kusuma Bangsa Park at IKN,” the Public Communication Special Staff of the Head of the IKN Authority (OIKN), Troy Pantouw, informed on Sunday.

According to him, the visiting hours start every day from 09.00-17.00 Central Indonesian Time (WITA), starting on Monday (September 16).

Pantouw reminded visitors to follow the guidelines set by OIKN and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).

A comprehensive visiting guide is prepared to ensure a comfortable, safe, and satisfying visiting experience for all parties, he added.

Regarding the visiting guide to Nusantara, the public can download the IKNOW application and register to visit, he informed.

“If visitors encounter problems within the application, they can contact IKNOW at 0821-4437-6300, for the visiting guide or access https://ikn.go.id/PedomanKunjunganNusantara,” he continued.

He reminded visitors to comply with the regulations during the visit, use public transportation provided at the assembly point, maintain cleanliness, are prohibited from smoking, are prohibited from entering forbidden areas, and must comply with all directions from officers.

Pantouw said IKN Nusantara is still under construction and considering security, order and safety, the number of visitors is limited to a maximum of 300 people per day.

The visitation program is expected to provide a joyful experience for the community, as well as strengthen the spirit of togetherness, and foster pride in the development of the IKN Nusantara as a global city with a smart, green, and sustainable concept built by Indonesian best talents, Pantouw concluded.

On September 12, President Joko Widodo also departed to IKN to return to the office and carry out a series of activities at the new capital. He is scheduled to work from IKN for 40 days until October 19, 2024, or one day before the inauguration of President and Vice President-elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. [antaranews]
