CHIEF of National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, affirmed that Christmas Day is a momentum for the Indonesian people to strengthen unity.

“The joy of Christmas radiates the light of love for all of us. Indonesia is a big country with diverse ethnicities and religions. History records the power of tolerance is in our blood,” he stated.
According to the Polri chief, national unity, which has become the main pillar of the nation’s progress, must always be maintained for a greater future.
“Continue to uphold brotherhood. Make the Indonesian nation fly high in the sky like the Garuda (bird),” he remarked.
In his caption, the National Police chief conveyed his greetings for Christmas and New Year for all Indonesian people.
“May the love of Christ always accompany our nation’s journey to become a strong, honorable, and prosperous country towards Golden Indonesia 2045,” he remarked.
Earlier, before the Christmas Eve service (December 24), Prabowo, along with top officials, including Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, reviewed the readiness of the Jakarta Cathedral Church in carrying out Christmas services.
Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar and Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto were also present during the visit to the church.
“We are (working) together with the TNI and other related stakeholders, including civil organizations, which have synergized with us in carrying out Christmas worship security, both tonight and until the end of the year,” he remarked.
