FASHION AND BEAUTY: APPARENTLY PERFUMES, THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON

THE BEAUTY industry is increasingly enlivened by a variety of perfumes, from fresh fruity scents, soft florals, simple woody scents, to sweet gourmands such as chocolate and caramel.

Perfume is closely related to fashion and beauty and is the most powerful weapon. Why do I call it a powerful weapon? Because women who understand the power of perfume will use it as wisely as possible for their personal statement. Whether intentionally or not, many women want to create “memories” through the scent of the perfume they wear. Moreover, perfume is also very personal.

For the same perfume, the scent can change when sprayed on someone else. This happens because the chemical reactions of the body between one person and another are relatively different. That is why the scent of perfume cannot be exactly the same.

Like clothes and accessories, each woman has different standards, habits and goals in treating perfume. Some have used perfume without changing it since the age of 16 because they want to be remembered as a unique person, to the point where comments like.. “Wow.. Sophia smells really good…!” arise.

There are also those who like to change perfumes according to trends, moods or events, whether morning, afternoon or evening. However, most women after trying various perfumes will eventually stop when they find a scent that suits their age and personality.

How do we know that the perfume we buy will last a long time? Look at the concentration level. The higher the concentration, the longer the scent lasts. There are five sequences of fragrance concentration in a perfume, namely: (1). Perfume is a type of fragrance that has the highest concentration and does not evaporate quickly. Its content consists of 20% to 40% fragrance concentrate without additional oil. Just by applying it to certain points, the scent can last up to 2-3 days. Usually packaged in elegant, exclusive bottles.

(2). Eau de perfume, the fragrance concentrate is 8% to 16%, with a low alcohol content, so it can last up to 6 hours. This type is suitable for daily activities,

(3.) Eau de toilette, the concentration of the fragrance ranges from 4% to 8% and has a high alcohol content, so the fragrance is quite light with a lasting time of no more than 4 hours. This type is suitable for events that do not require a long time such as a date or afternoon coffee with friends,

(4). Eau de cologne, among the three fragrance groups above, the cologne fragrance is the lightest because it contains the highest alcohol content with a fragrance concentration of no more than 4%. The fragrance only lasts about 2-3 hours. In the market it is commonly known as Body Mist, Body Spray or Body Splash.

Remember, perfume is not to be sprayed on clothes but on your body. Then, on which part of the body can perfume be sprayed to make it last longer? According to experts, there are 5 areas on our body that we can choose, namely: (1). The area behind the ears, (2). The lower back; is believed to be able to spread the scent of perfume when walking, (3). In the hair, it must smell very good when you toss your hair, (4). Elbow and knee folds, (5). Around the stomach/navel,

Above all, there is one message from Coco Chanel: “where should one wear perfume? Wherever one wants to be kissed” ….Next… it’s up to you. [written by Shopia Aradhu/photo special]
