PRESIDENT Prabowo Subianto has ordered to reduce toll rates and air ticket prices to facilitate public mobility during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijria.
President Prabowo made the statement at a press conference at the Pandawa Room, Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, after returning from a retreat in Magelang, Central Java, on Friday (02/28), 2025.
“All relevant ministers will also continue to monitor and ensure that all transportation facilities and public services can run smoothly and safely and facilitate the flow of people home,” he said.
This policy was taken as part of the government’s efforts to support the smooth flow of people home and ensure the comfort of the community in fasting and celebrating Eid.
President Prabowo said the reduction in air ticket prices would be implemented for the next two weeks. Tolls on several major roads will also be reduced during the Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi holidays, which fall close together this year.
“We are also preparing to reduce air ticket prices for the next two weeks and also reduce toll rates on several main roads during the Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi holidays, which this time fall very close together,” he concluded.
The president also asked the minister of transportation, the minister of state-owned enterprises, the minister of public works and all related ministers to continue to monitor and ensure the smooth operation of transportation facilities and public services during the homecoming period.
