AIRASIA will also reduce ticket prices to support the government’s program to reduce domestic ticket prices during Eid period 2025.
Indonesia AirAsia President Director Veranita Yosephine said tickets with special prices can be purchased from March 1 to April 7, 2025 for the travel period from March 24 to April 7, 2025.
“Especially for those who want to return to their beloved hometown and reunite with family. Previously, Indonesia AirAsia has also participated in the ticket price reduction program by offering discounts during the Christmas and New Year holidays in 2024/2025,” said Veranita Yosephine in a press release on Monday (03/3), 2025.
Veranita said that during this Eid period, Indonesia AirAsia is following the government’s policy to reduce airfares by up to 14 percent.
This reduction covers various price components, including fuel surcharge, which has been reduced from 10%t to 2%; aircraft passenger service charge (PJP2U), which has been reduced by 50%; aircraft landing, parking and storage service (PJP4U), which has been reduced by 50%; and VAT, which has been reduced from 11% to 5%.
This policy applies to all domestic routes operated by Indonesia AirAsia including Jakarta-Bali, Jakarta-Silangit, Jakarta-Labuan Bajo, Jakarta-Lampung, Bali-Labuan Bajo, Balikpapan-Bali and Banjarmasin-Bali.
It is hoped that this initiative can encourage increased use of air transportation during the Eid period, both for people who want to go home or travel. With this policy, people will be able to plan their trips more effectively and comfortably, while supporting the growth of the tourism sector and the economy as a whole.
As previously reported, domestic economy class airfares are certain to decrease by 14% during the 2025 Eid homecoming period. This policy will take effect on March 1, 2025. The discounts on airline tickets will be valid from March 1 to April 7, 2025. However, the flight period that receives the discount is only from March 24 to April 7, 2025. [sources/photo special]
