PT ANGKASA Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) is developing commercial areas at airports to provide a much better customer experience for air passengers. One strategy is to modernize the look and feel of the retail outlets and present various national, multinational and quality MSME brands in the airport commercial area.
In line with this, InJourney Airports will host the InJourney Airports Commercial Expo in Jakarta on April 23, 2025, an international event to expand networks and open up opportunities for non-aeronautical commercial business partnerships at 16 airports for retail, food and beverage (F&B) and air passenger service providers.
According to Faik Fahmi, President Director of InJourney Airports, as the 5th largest airport operator in the world, InJourney Airports has global standards in all aspects of airport management, including commercial space management. The InJourney Airports Commercial Expo is a step in the development of a world-class airport commercial zone.
“This world-class airport commercial area will enhance the quality, services and facilities to provide the best shopping experience for passengers, in addition to creating added value or value creation for InJourney Airports and business partners,” Fahmi added.
Faik Fahmi added that the development of the commercial area is a form of Premises Transformation, namely providing airport infrastructure according to the needs of passengers, as well as Process Transformation, where airport operations and services need to be ecosystem-based.

Meanwhile, InJourney Airports Commercial Director M. Rizal Pahlevi said that the InJourney Airports Commercial Expo opens up partnership opportunities in as many as 193 retail areas in 16 airports.
The airports are Sam Ratulangi Manado (12 areas), Yogyakarta International Airport (23 areas), SAMS Sepinggan Balikpapan (20 areas), Ahmad Yani Semarang (7 areas), Sultan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru (12 areas), Minangkabau Padang (7 areas) and Tjilik Riwut Palangkaraya (11 areas).
Then El Tari Kupang (6 regencies), Pattimura Ambon (21 regencies), Sultan Iskandar Muda Aceh (4 regencies), Banyuwangi (7 regencies), Fatmawati Soekarno Bengkulu (15 regencies), Supadio Pontianak (15 regencies), Sultan Thaha Jambi (14 regencies) and Raja Haji Fisabilillah Tanjung Pinang (4 regencies).
M. Rizal Pahlevi said, currently we have opened opportunities for all domestic and foreign companies engaged in retail, F&B and passenger services to become potential partners by registering by April 15, 2025. After that, curation will take place and those selected will be invited to participate in the market sounding at the InJourney Airports Commercial Expo on April 23, 2025 in Jakarta.
