GARUDA Indonesia has once again received global recognition. The state-owned airline was recognized as one of the top companies in Southeast Asia by Fortune Southeast Asia 500 in 2025.
Garuda has shown notable improvement, rising from 125th to 104th in the latest rankings. The assessment is based on business performance throughout the 2024 fiscal year. The airline has secured the top position on the list, making it the leading Indonesian transportation company in its field.
This recognition marks the second consecutive year that Garuda has been included on this prestigious list. According to Fortune, Garuda Indonesia’s consolidated revenue reached US$3.41 billion throughout 2024. This value increased by 16.3% compared to the previous year.
Garuda Indonesia President Director Wamildan Tsani attributes this achievement to the dedication of all employees who have contributed to the transformation process.
“This achievement marks a significant milestone for us, reflecting our ongoing efforts to enhance performance in line with the growth of the global national transportation industry and the increasing competitiveness of the Indonesian tourism sector,” said Wamildan in a press release on Thursday, (06/26), 2025.
According to Wamildan, the recognition from Fortune provides new impetus for Garuda’s future transformation. We are committed to the continuous enhancement of our business portfolio. This entails a variety of strategic initiatives, including the enhancement of operational and service quality, the optimization of production capacity, and the expansion of our domestic and international flight networks.
“Moving forward, we are committed to presenting sustainable innovation to support Garuda Indonesia’s role in strengthening the national tourism ecosystem,” concluded Wamildan.
