INJOURNEY Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) held various events at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) to stimulate the local economy and create job opportunities.
According to Priandi Satria, the managing director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) in Central Lombok, said thousands of workers, including volunteers and marshals, were recruited to support the events, including the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia from October 3-5, 2025.
Satria explained that the series of events in September proves that The Mandalika is not only the host of international racing events, such as MotoGP and World Superbike, but also a multi-event destination open to various activities.
The September 2025 agenda shows that The Mandalika is growing as a center of activity. The presence of various events, ranging from automotive and sports to entertainment, strengthens the image of NTB tourism.
“It also impacts the growth of the local business sector and creates jobs for the community,” he said.
These events confirm The Mandalika’s role as a center of international activities and strengthen its impact on the economy and tourism in NTB.
“The Mandalika is now establishing itself as the ultimate lifestyle sports entertainment destination,” he affirmed.
The following is a list of events that will take place at The Mandalika throughout the September 2025 weekend, including Mini Jaksel (September 5-6, 2025), which features a parade and a classic Mini Cooper car competition.
In addition to the car parade, South Jakarta Mini will present an automotive exhibition and a culinary bazaar, as well as music performances that the whole family can enjoy.
Then, from September 12-14, 2025, ITDC held the Lombok Run Run event, one of the largest running events in Indonesia, which consistently attracts thousands of participants from within and outside the country.
The Mandalika Racing Series, a national sport bike motor racing championship event, will be held from September 19-21, 2025. This event has now entered its fourth round and is held sustainably.
As an important program for developing national racing talent, the Mandalika Racing Series provides a platform for young Indonesian racers to refine their skills on a world-class track.
“This event also presents a strict competitive atmosphere by involving professional racers from various regions,” he concluded. [antaranews/photo special]
