PRABOWO REVIEWS INDONESIAN INNOVATION & CULTURE AT EXPO OSAKA

INDONESIAN President Prabowo Subianto reviewed the Indonesian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, on Saturday (9/20), 2025 in support of Indonesia’s role in this global event showcasing innovation, cultural heritage, and a vision for sustainability.

“At Expo 2025 Osaka, which is attended by 158 participants, the Indonesian pavilion carries the theme “Thriving in Harmony – Nature, Culture, Future,” inspired by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which emphasizes harmony between humans, nature, and God,” according to a statement from the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta.

Upon arrival at the pavilion, President Prabowo was immediately greeted by the pavilion’s architectural design, resembling a majestic ship, symbolizing Indonesia’s maritime heritage.

Designed with environmentally friendly principles, the pavilion utilizes sustainable materials such as plana wood, which is processed from rice husk waste, and recycled plastic.

Furthermore, the pavilion utilizes energy-efficient lighting and cooling systems, demonstrating Indonesia’s commitment to maintaining a balance between development and sustainability.

The Indonesian Pavilion is divided into four areas. One of them is the nature area, which showcases the beauty of Indonesia’s biodiversity through miniature tropical forests and works of renowned artists.

In the “Nusantara Odyssey” section, visitors can also enjoy a cinematic experience that takes them on a journey through the richness of geology, marine life, forests, and cultural heritage.

The culture area, titled “The Resilience of Community,” pays tribute to the cultural resilience and skills of the Indonesian people.

In this area, visitors can view the photo exhibition “Wajah Nusantara” (Face of the Archipelago) by Davy Linggar, a collection of traditional heirloom weapons, and videos of traditional martial arts and blacksmithing.

Meanwhile, in the future area, visitors can observe the role of local wisdom in shaping Indonesia’s future. The textile heritage exhibition, displayed with a seven-sailed Phinisi ship, symbolizes Indonesia’s maritime heritage.

Furthermore, visitors from around the world can also sample authentic Indonesian culinary delights. The Indonesian Pavilion receives around 30,000 visitors daily, demonstrating the high international enthusiasm for Indonesia’s cultural heritage and innovation.

During the visit, the President also greeted visitors who were present and enjoyed the diversity on display at the pavilion.

With a target of 2.8 to 3.5 million visitors during the expo, the Indonesian pavilion is expected to strengthen the nation’s image as a nation rich in cultural heritage, natural resources, and sustainable innovation. [antaranews]
