MORA Group has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the management of LAMORA Jogja Icon, the 11th hotel in the company’s portfolio in Indonesia. This addition also confirms MORA Group’s target of managing up to 15 hotels in various strategic cities by the end of 2025.
The MoU signing took place at MORAZEN Surabaya and was attended by Andhy Irawan, Founder & CEO of MORA Group, and Ricardo Wijaya, Director of LAMORA Jogja Icon.
According to Andhy Irawan, Founder & CEO of MORA Group, said LAMORA Jogja Icon is designed to provide a modern, comfortable, and affordable accommodation experience. The hotel offers 149 rooms in three types (Superior, Deluxe, and Suite), equipped with three meeting rooms, a restaurant and café, and supporting facilities such as a swimming pool.
“With a practical yet warm concept, this hotel is aimed at both business and leisure guests seeking accommodations that balance quality and affordability in Yogyakarta,” he said.
He explained that the LAMORA Jogja Icon, located in southern Yogyakarta, is close to the heritage area and offers quick access to the city center and Malioboro, making it the perfect choice for guests seeking a blend of Jogja’s cultural heritage and modern dynamics.
“The LAMORA Jogja Icon MoU is part of our efforts to maintain the sustainable growth of the MORA Group. After going through an intense expansion phase, our focus is now on ensuring that each hotel truly adds value to guests, owners, and the city in which it is located,” Andhy affirmed.
“We see Jogja Icon as an opportunity to introduce a stay experience that aligns with the needs of a new generation of travelers: practical, comfortable, and affordable,” he continued.
This MoU is part of MORA Group’s long-term strategy to continue growing sustainably. With the growing number of hotels, the company is not only expanding its network but also strengthening its brand presence in the Indonesian accommodation market.
