THE LARGEST independent tourism market event in Indonesia, TTC Travel Mart International, was held again. This annual event, now in its 42nd year, was met with enthusiasm by both sellers and buyers. This year, TTC Travel Mart International is being held in two cities: Jakarta on October 6, 2025, and Medan on October 8, 2025.
According to Kidung Pascalis, the Project Manager of TTC Travel Mart, on Monday (10/6), 2025 at the opening event said TTC Travel Mart International this time presented more than 130 sellers from various countries. In Jakarta, 118 sellers were in attendance, while in Medan, 78 sellers were prepared to establish partnerships with potential travel agents and buyers. A total of 700-800 participants were involved in the study from the perspective of the buyers.
“A notable development at this year’s TTC Travel Mart International is the significant presence of sellers from Europe. This year, the number of European sellers increased by 10-20% compared to last year, surpassing the number of sellers from Asia who had previously dominated. European sellers identified Indonesia as a promising market for tourism,” Kidung stated.
The number of sellers increased, Kidung continued that Chinese travel agents participating this time were different from the previous year. These agents presented various new tour packages to the bamboo curtain country.
In addition to China, TTC Travel Mart will be presenting a new destination that is equally compelling: the Middle East region. Sellers from the Middle East who were present came from Dubai, Qatar, Jordan, and Egypt, offering a variety of religious and religious tourism packages in the desert. The Indonesian market is becoming increasingly attractive to sellers from the Middle East. Kidung noted a notable increase in tourist demand to these countries, particularly for religious trips such as Umrah and historical tourism.
