WITF 2025 TO BOOST DOMESTIC TOURIST MOBILITY & BBWI MOVEMENT SUCCESS

THE MINISTRY of Tourism stated that the Wonderful Indonesia Tourism Fair (WITF) 2025 exhibition was created to increase domestic tourist mobility.

“Participation in WITF 2025 is an important strategy to increase the number of domestic tourist trips, while simultaneously strengthening the national economy through the tourism sector,” said Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism, when confirmed in Jakarta on Monday (10/13), 2025.

Made said the event, held from October 10–12, 2025, at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), PIK 2, Tangerang, Banten, is also an effective strategy to support the Proud to Travel in Indonesia Movement (BBWI).

The Ministry of Tourism participated in the event by presenting a 36-square-meter booth that facilitated eight tourism industry players from various sectors, including transportation, accommodation, tourist villages, associations, wellness, and travel agents/tour operators.

Exhibitors came from Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). These included Flores Trail Labuan Bajo, Segoro Tour, The Jayakarta Suites Hotel, the Indonesian Travelers Association (Kemberin), PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), Alamendah Tourism Village, Ismaya Group, and Martha Tilaar.

“We hope that participation in WITF 2025 will provide optimal benefits and open up new opportunities for sellers and buyers through networking activities and business deals,” said Made.

Wonderful Indonesia Tourism Fair 2025 is one of the largest tourism exhibitions in Indonesia, organized by the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI).

The exhibition is a business-to-business (B2B) event aimed at marketing Indonesian tourism globally, while also serving as a platform for collaboration and cooperation among tourism industry players to promote the country’s destinations.

WITF is attended by various tourism industry players, including airlines, travel agents/tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs), hoteliers, regional tourism offices, and several other strategic partners. [traveltext.id]
