BALI’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, is the main gateway for international tourists to Bali. The number of international passengers by September 2025 reached 11.53 million international passengers and 6.69 million domestic passengers.
According to I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport General Manager, Syaugi Shahab, said this figure demonstrates that Bali remains a top destination for international tourists, while maintaining strong domestic market momentum.
In terms of flight operations, as of the third quarter of 2025, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport recorded 106,942 aircraft movements, consisting of 58,485 international flights (55%) serving 36 international cities, and 48,457 domestic flights (45%) serving 21 Indonesian cities. Compared to the 105,979 movements in the same period last year, flight traffic also grew by 1%.
“In line with passenger and flight growth, international tourist visits to Bali are also showing a positive trend. In addition to passenger and aircraft traffic, which each experienced a 1% increase, positive growth was also reflected in air cargo performance. In the third quarter, we handled 78,000 tons, a 9% increase compared to 72,000 tons in 2024.
He further stated that of the total cargo handled, 70%, or 55,000 tons, was international cargo, demonstrating strong export-import activity through Bali. The remaining 30%, or 23,000 tons, was domestic cargo.
“This consistent growth is the result of collaboration between all airport stakeholders. We appreciate the synergy of all parties in maintaining airport services, and we will continue to strive to maintain operational excellence and service quality,” Syaugi concluded.
