THE MINISTRY of Creative Economy continues to encourage all industry activists, including the music subsector and concert organizers, to uphold good governance and professionalism.
According to the Music Director of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Mohammad Amin, Thursday (11/07), 2025, he said that as the ministry that oversees the creative economy sector, including the music subsector and organizing concerts, the Ministry of Creative Economy continues to encourage all industry activists to uphold the principles of good governance, transparency and professionalism in carrying out business activities.
Amin said that the Ministry of Creative Economy views the case that befell one of Indonesia’s promoters as an individual legal matter and does not reflect the entire ecosystem of the music performance industry in Indonesia.
Amin also said that this case could raise concerns between the public and international partners regarding the trustworthiness of holding music events in Indonesia.
However, Amin believes that Indonesia has many promoters and event organizers who are credible, experienced, and have established long-term collaborations with international musicians and management.
“The Ministry of Creative Economy is optimistic that one case will not erase the positive reputation that has been built together, especially because the concert market in Indonesia continues to show significant growth and has become an important destination for touring international musicians in the Asian region,” said Amin.
Amin said the Ministry of Creative Economy has sustainable steps to maintain the professionalism of the promoter ecosystem, including increasing capacity and certification for industry activists, including promoters, through training programs and competency standardization.
Apart from that, Amin said that the Ministry of Creative Economy will continue to collaborate across institutions with professional associations and related parties to ensure that the management of organizing concerts runs in accordance with legal provisions and sound business principles.
He also said it was necessary to create a conducive regulatory ecosystem, so that the music performance industry in Indonesia becomes more professional, transparent and trusted by partners at home and abroad. [traveltext.id]
