WINGS AIR has officially enlivened Bandung’s skies again by opening three new routes from Husein Sastranegara Airport (BDO). Starting 20–21 December 2025, flights to Solo, Semarang and Surabaya will resume operations, opening wider access for the people of West Java.
After a period of absence, Wings Air is again operating services to and from Husein Sastranegara Airport. This presence is good news for people who need easier and more affordable air travel options.
Three new routes opened in December 2025, Wings Air opened routes to three major cities: (1). Bandung-Solo (starting 20 December 2025, every Thursday and Saturday), (2). Bandung-Surabaya via Solo (starting 20 December 2025), (3). Bandung-Semarang (starting December 21 2025, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), (4). These routes are important access for business travel, education, tourism and family needs.
Even though it only opens three main routes, Wings Air’s flight network allows passengers from Bandung to reach more than 15 other cities via transit at: (1). Semarang (connected to Pangkalan Bun, Palangkaraya, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Makassar, Lombok, and others), (2). Solo (directly connected to Bali), (3). Surabaya (as a link to various destinations such as Lombok, Labuan Bajo, Kupang, Makassar, Manado, Ambon, Ternate, to Jeddah).
With the reopening of these routes, the people of West Java can now more easily reach destinations in Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, Maluku and Saudi Arabia with just one transit.
The opening of this route is a strategic step for Wings Air to strengthen West Java connectivity while supporting economic development, tourism and the education sector in destination areas.
All flights will use the ATR 72-600, an aircraft ideal for short to medium distance routes. This aircraft is known to be stable, fuel efficient, and provides a comfortable flying experience. [sources/photo special]
