SEVERAL Indonesian press personnel officially declared the establishment of the Sindikasi Media Network (SMN) or Syndicated Media Network as a collaborative professional media platform. The declaration took place on Friday, (02/2), 2026, in Kemang, South Jakarta, marking the establishment of a new synergy ecosystem in the national media industry.
The declaration of the Sindikasi Media Network (SMN) was delivered by Wahyu Indrasto, who served as the Advisor. This moment also reaffirmed the commitment of the founders and proponents of SMN to building a healthy, credible, and sustainable media collaboration space amidst the ever-evolving dynamics of the press industry.
In their declaration, the founders stated that the Sindikasi Media Network (SMN) was established as a synergy platform that combines the functions of independent media, information advocacy, and sustainable business partnerships.
SMN is poised to address the convergence of journalistic interests, public demand for reliable information, and the business sector’s requirement for trusted communication channels.
Additionally, SMN is designed to function as a strategic coordination center. This platform facilitates content production, cross-media publication integration, advocacy on social issues, and facilitation of professional relationships between media and business actors in a focused and collaborative manner.
According to Wahyu Indrasto stated that the Sindikasi Media Network aims to establish a collaborative environment that will fortify the position of the media sector and foster mutually beneficial relationships between the media, civil society, and the corporate world. This statement was made following the declaration.
SMN also directs all stakeholders—from media partners, community organizations, civil society, to business actors—to collaborate in creating an information ecosystem that is credible, responsible, and has added social and economic value.
Likewise, the Chairman of the SMN, Arief Suharto, underscored that the objective of SMN is not to supplant the existing media, but rather to enhance it through a collaborative spirit.
“We believe that today’s challenges in the media industry cannot be faced alone. Collaboration is essential for maintaining media independence, professionalism, and economic empowerment,” he affirmed.
This declaration signifies the commencement of the Sindikasi Media Network’s mission as an association of Indonesian journalists dedicated to establishing a future media that is adaptable, ethical, and pertinent to contemporary demands.
