AGS PRESENTS BATALIN DI SENAYAN, A FAST-BREAKING OFFERING LOCAL CUISINE

AS THE HOLY month of Ramadan begins on February 19, 2026, ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan (AGS) presents Batalin di Senayan, a fast-breaking program featuring a rich Indonesian cuisine, with a special collaboration between Chef Ragil and Chef Raynaldo.

According to Yana Nuraga, General Manager of AGS, during a press conference with media on Friday (02/06), 2026, said through this series of fast-breaking menus presented by the two chefs, ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan Jakarta aims to invite guests to explore the richness of Indonesian gastronomy.

“Batalin di Senayan is our hotel’s signature fast-breaking program, consistently featuring collaborations with renowned Indonesian chefs to provide a memorable fast-breaking experience for our guests,” he said.

Yana explained that this year, Batalin di Senayan is presenting something new through the Four Hands collaboration between ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan’s Executive Chef, Chef Raynaldo, and Chef Ragil Imam Wibowo, known for his expertise in Indonesian cuisine.

“This collaboration will highlight a variety of signature dishes from various regions in Indonesia that are not yet widely known to the public, including regions that may still be unfamiliar to some. Through this program, we hope to provide a unique and memorable dining experience,” Yana Nuraga affirmed.

Meanwhile, Chef Raynaldo said, here, we strive to present unique and authentic menus, tailored to the Jakarta’s palate. These are served at our restaurant, Lidah Lokal, with a fixed menu that changes every three days.

‘The menus we serve start from Aceh, the gateway to spices with their complex flavors, continuing to Tapanuli with its distinctive aroma of andaliman, and all the way to East Nusa Tenggara, which emphasizes the original, spicy flavors and smoky aromas of traditional cooking techniques,’ he said.

He added that this journey of flavors continues to Southeast Sulawesi, presenting the harmony of seafood and land-based cuisine through simple yet distinctive dishes. The Spice Islands of Maluku are renowned for their commitment to freshness, exotic aromas, and bold combinations of marine and fruit elements in their cuisine.

“The entire menu is designed as an authentic, bold, and story-filled journey of flavors, making breaking the fast a complete and memorable Indonesian culinary experience.

Likewise, Chef Ragil Imam Wibowo, a renowned figure in the realm of Indonesian cuisine, underscored the collaboration’s commitment to delivering an authentic and immersive culinary experience, while adhering to the rich traditions of Indonesian cuisine.

“I selected Lidah Lokal Restaurant, ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan, as the venue for the event because its name symbolizes ethnicity, representing the culinary diversity that exists. We serve dishes from Aceh, Central Sulawesi, North Sumatra, East Nusa Tenggara, and even Maluku, offering a selection of signature dishes from their respective regional traditions at the Lidah Lokal restaurant,” said Chef Ragil.

However, when asked about the names of the dishes that will be offered in the “Batalin di Senayan” program, neither Chef Raynaldo nor Chef Ragil Imam Wibowo could not provide the names of the dishes at this time. The reason is that both are still developing authentic flavors from several regions to suit the Jakarta’s palate.

ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan also offers a takjil (breaking-the-fast) package at Buka Mata Coffee Shop for guests to enjoy. This package includes sweet tea, Sukari dates, two kinds of fried snacks, and a choice of mixed ice or kolak (a cold drink).
