FOUNDER and CEO of Whitesky Group, Denon Prawiraatmadja, is optimistic that Intelligent Transport System Indonesia (ITS Indonesia) has a big opportunity to win the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) market at the regional level.
This was conveyed in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) forum regarding the development of Urban Air Mobility and future transportation transformation with the President of Intelligent Transport System Indonesia (ITS Indonesia), William P. Sabandar, which involved various stakeholders from the industrial, technology, transportation and regulatory sectors.
In the forum, Denon assessed those developments in global transportation technology have opened up great opportunities for Indonesia to take a strategic position in the future mobility industry.
According to him, Indonesia not only has a large market, but also has mobility needs and geographical characteristics which can be the main force in developing the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem.
“Indonesia has enormous potential to become a major player in Urban Air Mobility in the regional area. We have the market, need and momentum to build a future transportation ecosystem,” said Denon Prawiraatmadja.
Denon also emphasized that ITS Indonesia has an important position in encouraging the integration of intelligent transportation systems which are in line with the Urban Air Mobility concept that has been developed by the Whitesky Group.
According to him, Intelligent Transport Systems and Urban Air Mobility cannot be separated in building a future mobility system that is more efficient, integrated and technology-based.
“ITS Indonesia is in line with the Urban Air Mobility concept that we are pushing at Whitesky Group. The future of transportation requires integration between technology, connectivity and smarter mobility systems,” said Denon.
He believes that collaboration between industry, regulators and organizations such as ITS Indonesia will be an important factor in accelerating Indonesia’s readiness to face the era of technology-based transportation.
Denon Prawiraatmadja also ensured that ITS Indonesia and Whitesky Group could become key industry enablers in building future transportation in Indonesia.
According to him, the development of Urban Air Mobility is not only about presenting new modes of transportation, but also building a mobility ecosystem that is able to support economic growth, connectivity and national efficiency.
