For Indonesian travelers seeking international destinations to relax, the most budget-friendly routes are Pekanbaru–Kuala Lumpur starting from IDR288,000, Jakarta–Singapore IDR432,000, and Pekanbaru–Penang IDR540,000.
These affordable ticket prices give Indonesian travelers wider access to nearby international destinations, including Singapore and Kuala Lumpur with their modern cityscapes and world-class culinary destinations, as well as Penang for cultural and medical tourism, allowing for a maximal mid-year vacation without breaking the bank.

Looking at the region as a whole, Agoda data reveals South Korea as the top destination for budget-friendly domestic flights, with prices starting at IDR144,000 for the Busan–Jeju route. For international travel, Taiwan takes the spotlight, with flights starting at IDR108,000 for the Tokyo–Taipei route.
Other budget-friendly domestic routes for the mid-year holiday include Kuala Lumpur–Penang for IDR180,000, Phuket–Hat Yai for IDR180,000, Bangalore–Goa for IDR396,000, Ho Chi Minh City–Tuy Hòa (Phú Yên) for IDR432,000, Fukuoka–Tokyo for IDR450,000, and Taichung–Penghu for IDR756,000.
For international travel, short-haul flights are a top choice for travelers looking to save money during this holiday period. The Tokyo–Taipei route, booked for IDR108,000, offers attractive access to Taipei’s vibrant city life and culinary scene.
