PT MRT is investing over IDR300 billion to build the Dukuh Atas pedestrian deck, which will become a new icon in the Sudirman area of Central Jakarta.
“It’s currently under tender, and the investment value for the construction reaches over IDR 300 billion,” said Agus Trihan, Program Management Office Division of PT MRT, accompanied by TOD Planning Department Head Sagita Devi in Jakarta on Wednesday (08/5), 2026.
Although the project has not yet been tendered and the investment value reaches IDR 300 billion, he confirmed that the construction of this new icon on Jalan Sudirman will not use funds from the Jakarta Regional Budget (APBD).
He detailed that the budget will be taken from investments provided to PT MRT and will also include a loan. “Some will be taken from investment funds, and some will be taken from loans,” he said.
Agus said that for the construction of the Dukuh Atas Pedestrian Deck, his company will not be involved in land acquisition but will instead collaborate with related parties.
“This value is purely for development purposes,” he said.
He explained that the circular pedestrian deck will be designed to support a weight of 500 kilograms per square meter. The Dukuh Atas Pedestrian Deck will become a new icon, serving as a transit point for Jakarta residents who want to transfer to public transportation, whether using the MRT, LRT, KRL, or Transjakarta.
The north and south sides of this location will also be widened to seven meters, providing a place for stopping and admiring Jakarta’s beauty.

Previously, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung officially laid the groundwork for the circular Dukuh Atas pedestrian deck in Setiabudi, South Jakarta, targeting completion of the infrastructure by 2028.
“I officially declare the launch of the Dukuh Atas pedestrian deck. Hopefully, this construction will improve Jakarta’s transportation system,” said Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung in Jakarta on Sunday (August 2).
This pedestrian-only facility is designed to connect various modes of public transportation, including the Jakarta MRT, Jakarta LRT, Greater Jakarta LRT, Commuter Line (KRL), Transjakarta, and the airport train.
The facility is a circle with a diameter of approximately 118 meters and a width of approximately 12 meters. It will feature a commercial area, in addition to a pedestrian path.
