PELITA AIR reaffirms its commitment to maintaining operational reliability and service quality as part of its efforts to support connectivity and the advancement of national transportation.
The airline emphasizes that consistency in upholding operational and service standards is crucial for providing a safe, comfortable, and reliable travel experience for passengers.
“For Pelita Air, maintaining operational reliability and service quality is part of our contribution to continuously connecting Indonesia and supporting the progress of national transportation,” said Pelita Air President Director Faik Fahmi in a statement on Thursday (9/17), 2026.
This commitment is reinforced ahead of National Transportation Day 2026, observed annually on September 17. Faik noted that the occasion reminds the company that connectivity is not merely about linking one region to another, but also about delivering safe, reliable, and comfortable travel for the public.
Pelita Air operates a fleet of 16 Airbus A320 aircraft and served 3.26 million passengers in 2025. As of December, of the previous year, the airline served 17 routes, comprising 16 domestic and one international route.
Pelita Air’s consistency in maintaining operational reliability and service quality is reflected in positive media sentiment over the past year. According to research by The Iconomics, this Pertamina subsidiary recorded a positive media sentiment score of 81%. This achievement earned Pelita Air the Top SOE Subsidiaries Award 2026 in the Transportation category.
Faik Fahmi stated that this achievement reflects Pelita Air’s performance and service quality as portrayed in media coverage. During the research period, media coverage regarding Pelita Air highlighted operational reliability, punctuality, connectivity expansion, and improvements in customer service. This achievement complements the “Best On-Time Performance 2026” award from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, which Pelita Air received on September 2, 2026—marking the second consecutive time the airline has won the honor.
