ARTOTEL Group (AG) and U Stay Group have officially signed a Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) recently, marking a strategic partnership to strengthen their presence in Indonesia’s hospitality industry.
The signing ceremony was attended by Erastus Radjimin, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Artotel Group, and Nofel Saleh Hilabi, Founder of U Stay Group, who also serves as Deputy Chairman of KADIN Indonesia, Head of the Hotel Division of PHRI’s National Board, and Deputy Chairman of GIPI (Indonesian Tourism Industry Association).
Through this partnership, Artotel Group will manage all four U Stay properties located in Jakarta and Bali. The properties will join Artotel Group’s hotel network under its “by ARTOTEL” brand collection, with the following new names: (1). U Stay by ARTOTEL, Mangga Besar, (2). U Stay by ARTOTEL, Asem Baris, (3). U Stay Style Batik by ARTOTEL, Jakarta, (4). U Stay Aqilah Villa by ARTOTEL, Bali.
The properties offer modern minimalist guest rooms, along with one to two meeting rooms at each hotel to accommodate business and leisure travelers seeking affordable accommodation in their respective destinations.
According to Erastus Radjimin, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of ARTOTEL Group (AG), said the addition of U Stay brings 250 rooms to AG’s portfolio, further strengthening our presence in the economy segment, which represents significant growth potential in Indonesia.
“Through this collaboration, we are not only expanding our portfolio but also enhancing our ability to serve the increasingly diverse needs of domestic travelers across Indonesia, whether for business or leisure,” he said.
Meanwhile, Nofel Saleh Hilabi, Founder of U Stay Group, said, our roadmap is clear. Over the next three years, U Stay is targeting the addition of up to 50 hotels, equivalent to approximately 5,000 rooms. Our focus is on investment, acquisition, and ownership of hospitality assets.
“We aim to build long-term assets in Indonesia and enhance their productivity and economic value through professional management in collaboration with strategic partners such as AG,” he said.
Nofel explained that our expansion will be pursued through the acquisition of existing hotels, the acquisition and conversion of promising properties, the revitalization of underperforming hospitality assets, and the development of new properties in destinations with strong economic and tourism prospects.
“These assets will then be developed through the synergy between U Stay and Artotel Group, leveraging capabilities in operations, branding, distribution, technology, and commercial management,” Nofel concluded.
