Carrying the theme “United Alumni, Empowered and Sustainable Tourism”, IKAPTRI Tourism Fair 2027 which will be held on 29–30 January 2027 at ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan, Jakarta. This event is designed not only as a tourism exhibition, but as a space to strengthen knowledge, collaboration, sustainability and creativity in one interconnected ecosystem.
According to Dr. Catur Prasetyo, General Chair of the Trisakti Tourism Alumni Association (IKAPTRI) at the launch press conference on Friday (10/02), 2026 said that the IKAPTRI Tourism Fair 2027 we present it as a momentum to reunite the strengths of alumni while opening a wider space for collaboration with industry and the entire tourism ecosystem.
“The spirit is not just about gathering, but how we can create an impact together and build empowered and sustainable tourism. We want to use the alumni spirit as energy to continue to contribute to the progress of Indonesian tourism,” he said.
He explained, for more than five decades, the Trisakti Tourism Institute has been part of the journey of human resource development in the Indonesian tourism sector and has produced alumni who are active in various industrial fields. Through the IKAPTRI Tourism Fair 2027, it is hoped that the alumni network can become a collaborative force to connect experience, knowledge, innovation and opportunities across generations.
“IKAPTRI Tourism Fair 2027 will present four main series, namely Tourism Fair, Travel Mart, Creator Festival, and Sustainability Expo. These four programs are a forum for bringing together business actors and the tourism industry, destinations, travel operators, hospitality, government and tourism boards, educational institutions, communities, and the creative generation in building connections, expanding networks, and creating new collaboration opportunities,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Setiawati Handimuljana, Chief Executive of the IKAPTRI Tourism Fair 2027, said that we want the IKAPTRI Tourism Fair 2027 to be a lively space, where people come not only to see exhibitions, but to meet, learn, share ideas, find opportunities and build collaborations.
“Because of that, we present the Tourism Fair, Travel Mart, Creator Festival and Sustainability Expo as an interconnected series. We hope that each participant can find value and relevant collaboration opportunities in them,” Setiawati Handimuljana affirmed.
Likewise, Eduard Pangkerego, ENHAIIR and COO of ARTOTEL Group, said that tourism does not only talk about destinations and travel, but also about people, knowledge, competence and how we are able to respond to changing times.
“Therefore, alumni have an important role in continuing to share experiences and open access for the next generation. IKAPTRI Tourism Fair 2027 can be a bridge between the knowledge we have and the industry needs today and, in the future,” he stated.
He also added that we see the IKAPTRI Tourism Fair as not just an event, but as a platform that brings together a lot of positive energy in Indonesian tourism. When alumni, industry, community, creators, government, and the younger generation are in one room, many new possibilities will emerge.
“The challenge is how we package the meeting into a meaningful, engaging experience, while providing an impact that can continue after the event is over,” concluded Eduard Pangkerego.
At the same time, Danny Sultoni from Satu Matahari Event added that through this concept, the IKAPTRI Tourism Fair 2027 is expected to be a meeting space that does not present business and networking opportunities, but also encourages knowledge exchange, destination promotion, talent development, creative innovation, and awareness of sustainable tourism practices.
“The four main programs will bring complementary characters and objectives. The Tourism Fair is a space for exploring various products, destinations and Indonesia’s tourism potential. Travel Mart brings together buyers and sellers to open up business opportunities and industrial connectivity,” he noted.
Danny also explained that the Creator Festival presents creativity, storytelling and the role of the digital generation in promoting tourism. Meanwhile, the Sustainability Expo is a space to introduce various initiatives, innovations and practices that support the journey towards more responsible and sustainable tourism.
With the spirit of “United Alumni, Empowered and Sustainable Tourism”, the IKAPTRI Tourism Fair 2027 is a momentum to bring together the past, present and future of Indonesian tourism. Alumni are here to bring experience and networks, industry is the driver of growth, while the new generation brings creativity and innovation to create the future of Indonesian tourism.
In the end, it is hoped that the IKAPTRI Tourism Fair 2027 will not stop as a two-day event, but will be the start of a longer collaboration and have a real impact on the Indonesian tourism ecosystem. [traveltext.id]
